We're hiring a full-time web developer to join our team.

Greater Manchester Centre for Voluntary Organisation is the voluntary sector support organisation for the Greater Manchester city region. GMCVO Databases is a successful small business returning profits to the charity, specialising in open source software implementation, installation, training, and ongoing support. We have a broad and growing customer base from a range of voluntary and charitable groups.  We are looking for a dynamic web developer to drive growth in implementing CMS (content management systems such as Drupal/Wordpress) and CRM (contact relationship management/CiviCRM) platforms to help our clients work smarter and manage their data more effectively.

The successful applicant will be experienced and knowledgeable in a range of web technologies and languages including HTML, PHP and CSS; they will be prepared to develop additional skills and knowledge.  They will be able to work on multiple projects at the same time, collaborate and involve other team members to resolve challenges and communicate clearly and effectively with clients to support them in using the systems we build.

This is a unique opportunity for an individual to continue learning, improving their skills and work for a charitable organisation with clear aims and ethical values. If you want to make a real positive and practical impact in the world we live in, this could be the job for you. We value individuals who can bring fresh ideas to the business and who have a genuine interest in technology and how that can be used for social good

We offer:

  • A permanent contract
  • 22 days leave plus bank holidays
  • Flexible working policy
  • A location close to Manchester City Centre, free parking
  • 7% pension contribution
